Located at 14 Gong Xiang (Official St.) and built in the Qing Dynasty, the house, facing south is composed of four adjoining buildings with a total area of 4,141square meters. It was designated as an official protection site by Fuzhou Municipal Government in 1991.
Liu Qixian (1815-1877), eldest son-in-law of Lin Zexu and an Imperial Scholar in the 21st year of the reign of Emperor Dao Guang, Qing Dynasty (1841), was once appointed Vice Governor of Henan Province. He and his brother Liu Qiqu earned the title of Imperial Scholars in the same year, causing a great sensation in Fuzhou.
