Former site of the Office of the New Fourth Army in Fuzhou

The building is an example of Qing architecture with a single compound occupying 461㎡. It used to be the back yard of the former residence of Lin Congyi. The New Fourth Army’s Fuzhou Office was established here in February 1938. Wang Zhu, the counsel to the New Fourth Army and a member of the special committee of Eastern Fujian, was the director of the office. The office moved to Nanping in May 1938.

The building was designated as one of the 3rd group of cultural relics under provincial protection in 1991.
