The house was built in the year of the reign of Emperor Qian Long of the Qing Dynasty, and originally served as the ancestral hall of Yan Family. Later Zou Keming, an overseas Chinese businessman, settled down here. Consisting of two buildings, the house sits on the south and faces the north, sprawling 2,009㎡. The main building had one principal hall with magnificent wooden pillars and stone floors, which was built using a great quantity of top quality timber and stone. The parlour at the western side is composed of two compounds, one of which has delicate and exquisite carvings.
The building was designated as one of the 6th group of cultural relics under provincial protection in 2005.
